Joseph and Kimberly King were both born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. They met as teenagers in 1974 and married on 25 April 1981. Joseph is a retired Marine after serving over 27 years of active duty service. He has a degree in theology, and is currently pursuing a degree in psychology/counseling. Joseph has served in various areas of ministry. He was ordained Deacon May 1997 and licensed to minister in November 1998. He was Ordained in June 2000 while leading the Gospel Service at Camp Lester, Okinawa Japan. There, the Kings reached the heart of the community and developed a vibrant gospel ministry, increasing the membership from 13 members to 87.
Joseph was contacted by the former Pastor of Acts Tabernacle and asked to come assume the pastorate. Through prayerful consideration and seeking wise counsel, Joseph accepted the opportunity to be used by God as Pastor of Acts Tabernacle. Joseph was ordained at the installation under Bishop James E. Bolden, Evangelistic Ministries, Jacksonville Arkansas in April 2002. After 18 months as Pastor and in need of spiritual fathering/pastoral guidance, Joseph was inspired by God to ask Dr. Virgil D. Patterson to be his spiritual father and Pastor. Agreement was made and on 18th of April 2004, Joseph's Pastor ordained him under the National Organization of Nondenominational-Full Gospel Ministries. Hallelujah!
Pastor King felt that God was expanding the ministry's vision to becomming more Kingdom focused. Through prayer and fasting, God revealed to Pastor King the need to change the name of the ministry from Acts Tabernacle to Kingdom Outreach Ministries International (KOMI). The name change was official in January 2006. Since that time, God has opened the doors for KOMI to minister to people of all ages, races, genders and cultures throughout the island of Okinawa.
Kimberly is currently a teacher with DODDS and has a bachelor's degree in Psychology from The University of Maryland. She has served in various areas of ministry from Women's Ministry, Choir Director to Praise and Worship Leader. She is a woman of God who operates in prophetic and evangelistic ministry. She is an encourager and exhorter of the saints. She is an ordained Evangelist under the Non-Denominational Full Gospel ministries, and she works along side her Pastor/Husband as one of the associate Pastors.
Over the past three and a half years Pastor and Evangelist King have led, and continue to lead Kingdom Outreach Ministries International in an upward direction. All areas of the ministry are continuing to increase in the natural and spiritual as they follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. The equipping of the saints, the experience of true worship, spiritual growth and expansion of the facilities to accommodate the manifestations of the vision are results of their leadership and commitment to the work of the ministry.
